- This page tracks the status — we do not claim transfer works until the developer says so.
Where to get the demo
The demo lives on the official ShredDead Steam page. Open the game’s store page on Steam and locate the demo panel to install it — the standard Steam demo flow applies.
Official store page
The ShredDead Steam page is the only verified source for the demo and the full game.
Platform support
The full game runs on Windows and macOS with full controller support — the same systems the demo targets.
Developer channel
Weird Penguin Games posts announcements on its official YouTube channel and Discord.
Also on itch.io
The developer (as fimor) maintains an itch.io page for ShredDead — worth checking for prototype builds.
Save transfer: what we know and don't
- What is confirmed
The demo exists (September 1, 2026) and the full game launched October 26, 2026. Both facts come from public Steam records.
- What is not confirmed
No official statement, FAQ entry or patch note documents demo-to-full save transfer. Anything claiming otherwise is speculation.
- How to verify it yourself
Check the Steam store page’s demo section and the developer’s announcements; official channels are the only source that counts.
- What we will do
When an official statement lands, this page and the updates tracker will record it with the date.
Demo player checklist
- Install the demo from the official Steam page, not third-party mirrors.
- Treat demo progress as possibly disposable until transfer is confirmed.
- Wishlist the game to catch the launch discount window (ends November 9, 2026).
