How to spot fake ShredDead accounts
New indie launches attract impostor accounts, especially around game-key scams and fake giveaways.
- Only trust accounts linked from the developer’s own pages (Steam page, official channel, itch.io).
- Official giveaways happen on the channels above — an “official Instagram giveaway” asking for logins or payments is a scam.
- Key resellers claiming official status are never verified sources.
- When the studio opens an Instagram, this page and the updates tracker will record it.
